 What is 'The New Me' Program?

'The New Me' is a personal development and weight loss retreat; it is a program that we feel represents true life experiences; an interpretation of what I went through during my weight loss journey and strategies and tactics on how I continues to maintain my current weight. We have developed 2 types of programs being our regular retreat which caters specifically to those who are obese or morbidly obese as I was; and we have also developed the weight loss workshop programs for those who are just overweight. The both target exactly what is needed to change that lifestyle.’ - Adro
On Adro's very public journey many may remember that during the course of his weight loss, Adro lost a lot (of weight) but found a whole lot more; He found out more about himself, who he was, who he wanted to become and how he was going to make all of his dreams become his reality.
The 2 greatest things he learnt on his weight loss journey were:
1. To believe in himself, and
2. Weight loss isn’t singly about food, exercise or even motivation; It is a combination of all of those things. He now teaches and now promotes a holistic approach to weight loss, personally and through his amazing team of handpicked staff.
Since winning and becoming Australia’s first Biggest Loser Adro developed a philosophy:     
             Eat Smart, Move More, Think Thin  
 These are the three key elements that Adro believes and has taught us are crucial for weight loss, not only the initial weight loss but also for the longevity of those results. As we can all agree, there is no point losing weight if it is only going to come back, because we all know when it comes back it almost certainly comes back with a vengeance.

 'The New Me' program runs on a 2 week cycle, having all guests arrive on a Sunday and leave Saturday the fortnight after.
Many guests have chosen to stay for longer periods of time with several staying as long as 12 weeks.
(Our programs run with a minimum 2 week stay and a maximum 12 week stay in 2week program blocks)

The program is built on Adro's philosophies of Eat Smart, Move More, Think Thin, which were created and developed during and since his weight loss journey on and after the television program; and we implement them through a variety of avenues:

• Group therapy classes and one on one counseling
• Shopping and Recipe challenges
• Motivation seminars

• Group personal training, 1 on 1 and Self training time
• Restaurant lessons
Tools
There are a number of great tools that you are given on arrival, these are things that are imperative to your success, tools that will not only help but motivate and excite you throughout your journey. These include a heart rate monitor, calorie counter, gym gear, workbooks, DNA profiling, blood analysis, VLA and BIO testing, chiropractic, naturopath and nutritionist visits and equipment.

 'The New Me' Weight loss Retreat!

Minimum stay 2 weeks, maximum stay 12 weeks
As our program is designed to be Adro's representation of his weight loss journey on the biggest loser it has been created and works towards specifically targeting obese and morbidly obese people. The program focuses on all of the lessons that he needed to learn in order to break free from the demons of obesity. Through major research and much practice we have perfected the formula necessary for successful weight loss from an obese starting point. We are only able to do this through implementing Adro's key philosophies and much of our life experiences. We believe that only in a sanctuary of support, knowledge, motivation and positive energy is the desired success achievable.
It is for that reason that we focus mainly on the people who Adro feels need us the most; those who are where he once was. The program is specifically designed for people who only have great amounts of weight to lose or who are over 95-100kgs, meaning that we have a minimum entry weight for our regular program to ensure that we are providing the correct treatment for each person in a comfortable and safe environment.
Focusing on those ever important lifestyle modification techniques the programs is tailored to allow for a less physically able and sometime immobile clientele. With the training sessions running often, they’re not necessarily all hard; people who are participating in the program will be able to enjoy somewhat of a specially tailored boot camp style environment with a whole lot of adventure and activities while working towards identifying those areas of their current lifestyles that need the most attention to ensure success.
2 Week Weight loss Workshop Under 100kgs ( conditions apply, managament discretion )
Limited Positions Only, ONLY 3 PER YEAR!!
 
As our regular retreat focuses mainly on obese plus people; we have had a huge increase in enquiries from people who do not have quiet that much to lose.
It is for that reason that we have developed our 2 week Weight loss Workshops; These 2 week blocks are specifically designed for people who only have up to about 20kgs to lose or who are under 100kgs, meaning that we have a maximum entry weight and you qaulify for this program if you have double digit weight.
Still focusing on lifestyle modification techniques the workshop programs are slightly tailored to allow for a more physically able clientele. With training sessions running longer not necessarily harder; people who are participating in the workshop will be able to enjoy somewhat more of a real boot camp style environment with a whole lot of adventure and activities but still working towards identifying those areas of their current lifestyles that need the most attention to ensure success.
 We have had great success with our 2009; 2 week weight loss workshops so far and look forward to continuing this in December 2009 and well into 2010 and the future.
FIT CAMP!
Limited Positions Only, ONLY 1 PER YEAR!!
This is not intended for weight loss; its fitness oriented.
This single 1 week block will not be for the faint hearted!  They will have very little focus on weight loss but maximum focus on fitness.
There will be limited numbers and an entry level of fitness is a must; and the whole program will be designed around hammering those who wish to be hammered.
We are designing a program that will cater to those who are already fit and athletic and for those who are wishing to become even more fit and athletic. So if you're a diehard gym junkie, amateur athlete, sports person or really just want to have a week of full on training, and awesome fun then this is for you!
This program will include a lot of hard core training and training styles and will very similarly resemble a live in relatively hard core boot camp.
We will still run cooking classes, seminars on better health and nutrition and possibly even some specific sports training and strength and conditioning coaching seminars.
If you want that kick in the pants then FIT CAMP is for you.
